Nova Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 13, 2026

Nova is designed to help users organize their day with local, on-device logic. The current version of the app does not use a backend, does not create user accounts, and does not send personal data to external servers.

What Nova stores

Nova stores the information you enter locally on your device so the app can work as expected. This may include:

This information remains on your device and is not transmitted to Nova servers because Nova does not currently operate any backend service.

What Nova does not do

In its current version, Nova:

Calendar access

With your permission, Nova accesses your Apple Calendar on this device through EventKit to understand how full your day already is.

Nova reads only the current day’s calendar events and uses only the event start time, event end time, and whether an event is marked as all-day so all-day events can be ignored for schedule estimation.

Nova does not use calendar titles, notes, attendees, locations, reminder data, or calendar content for analytics, advertising, tracking, or any server-side processing.

All calendar processing stays on your device. Nova does not transmit calendar data to external servers.

If you deny calendar permission, Nova falls back to planning from your energy and priorities only. You can change calendar access later in iOS Settings.

Data retention and control

Because Nova stores its current app data locally on your device, you remain in control of that data through normal iOS device and app management. Removing the app from your device will remove the app's locally stored data.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if Nova's features or data practices change. If future versions introduce new permissions, network services, or data collection, this policy will be updated before those changes are used in production.
